Vaughn is working on the following objects to illuminate the space:

These are awesome. As they spill light downwards, they will illuminate the space in a way that is quite opposite to what gallery lighting usually does.

Whilst I have been trying to work out a fundamental tone or signature of our exhibition space (more about that in a later post) Vaughn has been working out how light would operate in the space. As far as I understand it, you can take the dimensions of a space and work out the optimal light intensity (in lumens) for that space. His estimation is that about 16 of these objects would fill the space with light.

The construction of these objects also allows me the opportunity to include sound emitting objects in them.
